Job Summary:

The School District Physical Therapist is responsible for providing physical therapy services to students with disabilities, aged 3-21, within the school setting. The primary goal is to enhance students' ability to access and benefit from their educational program by addressing their gross motor skills, mobility, and functional independence. This role involves assessment, treatment planning, direct and indirect services, collaboration with educational teams, and compliance with all applicable regulations.

 

Qualifications:

• Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid state license to practice physical therapy.
• Certification by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) preferred.
• Experience working with children with disabilities in a school or pediatric setting.
• Knowledge of IDEA and other relevant special education laws and regulations.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
